About Salt Therapy
Halotherapy, or salt therapy, involves breathing in air with tiny particles of salt. This is achieved in a dedicated Halotherapy room. Our Halotherapy Room has Himalayan Panels on the walls to provide the salt cave experience, while also using a Halogenerator to break down salt into tiny particles that circulate in the room. Studies have shown Halothereapy can have benefits for respiratory conditions, skin problems and allergies. Salt is a natural and safe ingredient. It does not have any notable side effects. It is helpful in clearing up mucus from your airways, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, immunity-boosting and nonallergenic.

How does salt therapy work?
Dry pharmaceutical grade salt is heated and then it is ground and crushed into very tiny microparticles in a machine called a halogenerator. These dry aerosol microparticles of salt are then dispersed into the salt room during a typical session. As the person relaxes, the microparticles are inhaled. The particles penetrate deep into the lungs, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli. Bacteria and pollutants are dissolved as salt enters the lungs and respiratory system by eliminating mucous and opening constricted airways.
What kind of salt do you use?
We use pharmaceutical grade designed specifically for halogenerators. It is 99.99% sodium chloride.
What do I wear for my salt therapy session?
You may wear your normal clothes, we do ask that you remove your shoes while in the salt cabin. If you have dark clothing on, you may see a bit of salt on your clothes but it can generally be brushed off easily.
I have a cold, how often should I come?
For active symptoms, we recommend our week pass. (4 sessions in 7 days) Then 1-2 times per week until symptoms are resolved. If you have fever or persistent cough, please wait until you are fever free for 24 hours and your cough subsides a bit.
Are kids allowed to use the salt booth?
YES! You are able to use salt therapy at any age. We allow one lap child under the age of 5 for no additional charge! Any child over the age of 5 will require their treatment. You may bring a book, tablet or device to entertain them during their treatment.
When should salt therapy be avoided?
Halotherapy is not recommended for people with contagious diseases, fever, open wounds, cancer, severe hypertension, mental disorders, and active tuberculosis. Pregnant women should consult with their doctor before using halotherapy. Anyone with serious health concerns needs to seek proper medical advice and care.
What are the side effects?
With regard to salt therapy, side effects are infrequent. Some might experience a mild tickle in the throat or an increase in coughing due to an excess mucus build-up. This is an indication that the therapy is working. Other side effects might be a slight skin irritation for those with hypersensitive skin.
